The night started ordinary enough, just another Friday with the girls in a crowded East London bar, the kind where the music is loud and the lights are low enough that everyone looks a little more interesting. I was in one of my soft moods at first, laughing at their running commentary and nursing a drink, when he appeared at the edge of our little circle. Tall, dark hair that fell just right, eyes that held mine a second longer than polite. The banter was easy, dry, the sort that made me feel seen without any pressure. By the time the girls were exchanging knowing glances I already knew I would leave with him.

Back at mine the energy shifted the moment the door closed. He was high-energy from the start, the kind of man who takes control without asking twice, and something in me melted into it completely. He kissed me hard against the wall, one hand tangled in my hair, the other firm at my waist, and the mix of roughness and heat sent a shiver straight through me. Clothes disappeared in a rush of laughter and urgent breaths. He threw me onto the bed with just enough force to make my pulse race, then followed, pinning my wrists lightly above my head while his mouth traced a path down my neck. The contrast of his strength and the careful way he watched my face made every touch feel deliberate and electric.

What followed was everything I crave on nights like this. He moved with a confident intensity, shifting me as he pleased, guiding my body into positions that left me open and breathless. His hands were firm, almost demanding, yet every grip and pull carried an undercurrent of care that kept the whole experience from tipping into anything cold. When his mouth found the most sensitive places the pleasure built in slow, rolling waves, each one stronger than the last until I was trembling under him, fingers clutching at the sheets. He didn’t rush. He stayed with me through every peak, drawing out the sensations until my whole body felt liquid and alive. The roughness never felt careless. It felt focused, like he was reading every gasp and shiver and answering it exactly.

We stayed tangled for a long time afterward, skin cooling, his fingers tracing idle patterns along my side. There was a softness in those quiet minutes that surprised me, a gentle contrast to the storm that had come before. I almost asked him to stay, the idealistic part of me already picturing morning coffee and lazy foot rubs. Instead he kissed my forehead, murmured something low and warm, and left before the sky lightened. I lay there alone in the half-dark, body still aching in the most delicious way, every muscle humming with the memory of being thoroughly claimed.

This morning the ache remains, a sweet reminder that makes me smile into my coffee. For once I kept the whole night to myself. No running commentary with the girls, no exaggerated retelling over wine. It feels private in a way I rarely allow, almost precious. Somewhere underneath the happy glow sits that familiar quiet hope, the one that wonders when the tall dark man who stays will finally arrive. Until then nights like this are enough. They leave me soft and spent and oddly hopeful, carrying the secret like a warm stone in my pocket.

Off the clock I’m the opposite, a bit sweary, a bit soft, and far too honest once I’ve had a drink and a story worth telling.
