The run this morning was nothing special on paper, just a quick loop along the canal paths while the early sun still felt soft on my shoulders. Blonde hair tied back, no makeup, trainers hitting the ground in that steady rhythm that always clears the bank noise from my head. By the time I turned for home my legs had that pleasant ache, the kind that reminds me my body is still strong and useful even after long weeks of standing over spreadsheets and keeping the under-25s in line. I like that feeling. It settles something restless inside me.
Back in the flat I kicked off the trainers and stayed in the trackies, barefoot on the cool kitchen tiles the way I always do. The kettle went on, the window open just enough to let in the Hackney hum, and I stood there for a while with my palms resting on the counter, breathing slower. My skin still carried the warmth of the run, a light sheen along my collarbones, muscles humming quietly. It is a simple kind of pride, the athletic one, nothing carved or showy, just the knowledge that I can move and keep moving.
That is when the daydreams started, the way they often do when I am alone and soft like this. Strong hands. I pictured them first on my waist, firm and sure, the kind that could lift me without asking and set me down wherever they wanted. In the fantasy they are a little rough, the way I like, guiding me back against the counter or turning me so my cheek presses to the cool surface. The trackies would slide down easy under those hands, and the air on newly bare skin would make me shiver in the best way. I imagined the weight of him behind me, solid and warm, the press of his body making every soft part of me feel claimed and wanted.
Oral always finds its way into these thoughts. I can almost feel the heat of his mouth moving lower, patient at first then hungrier, the slow wet slide of his tongue drawing soft sounds from my throat that I would never make at work. My fingers would tangle in that dark hair I keep picturing, holding him closer while pleasure builds in tight, rising waves. The roughness comes next, the part that makes my pulse skip even standing alone in the kitchen. Being thrown about the way I crave, the controlled strength that leaves little marks and bigger memories, hips meeting hard enough that the whole world narrows to sensation and breath. Anal slips in too, the full stretch and the deep, overwhelming fullness that always leaves me shaking and open, every nerve singing. I would come hard in the dream, thighs trembling, voice catching on his name even though I have never learned it yet.
But the best part, the part that keeps the fantasy from feeling empty, is what follows. After the high-energy rush he would gather me close, both of us sticky and smiling, and the roughness would melt into something softer. Strong arms around me under the duvet. Slow kisses that taste like shared breath. The quiet luxury of a proper foot massage while I drift, thumbs pressing into the arches that carried me on the run. Morning light would find us still tangled, his dark hair messy on the pillow, my body feeling used in the sweetest way and still held like something precious.
I finished making the tea eventually, still barefoot, still glowing a little from both the run and the daydream. The ideal man stays just out of reach for now, tall and dark and handsome enough to keep me properly in check, but these quiet kitchen moments make the hope feel close enough to touch. One day the hands will be real. Until then I will keep running, keep coming home, and keep letting the soft athletic glow turn into something warmer when no one is watching.
